[More Waves Please]

This was an unusual day at this spot with side-on winds and small, playful waves. The wind is normally nearly straight on-shore (even more so that OB). Also, the beach faces northwest and takes whatever swell the ocean is dishing out. When not windy, it's a reasonably good surf spot with a pounding shorebreak. With the typical wind direction, it's really not all that much fun dealing with thumping shore-pound and on-shore winds. Since I can literally walk to the beach, I've tried desperately to make it work as a kite spot. Most of the time I pass on it and drive to points further south.

Another shot. These 2 surfers paddled out to a peak about 100 yards down the beach from the wave I was riding. I think these poor guys got nothing but seasick. Damn I'm glad I started kiting so I don't have to force surf sessions on days like this anymore!!
