invention? but all kites do that already. i use this all the time on my Ocean Rodeo Rise. Most front setting most bar pressure, most depower, most upwind ability. I use this in all races.
Move the line back have way less bar pressure and slighty less depower.
Anyway point is if any of these setting only had benefits there would not be the option for settings so pretty much up to what you want for the day.

I am so laughing right now, because last summer when I moved to CT - and started kiting in CT/RI area all the locals were telling me I needed a larger kite (12M) - they were surprised when they watched me flying my 9M, and staying upwind. I just think that if I had 1 size larger kite, I would have more water time.

Reason for light bar pressure is that I have tendonitis, and when I fly Joe's 12M - within 15 minutes my tendonitis flares up. Never happens with my kites, or most kites I demo.

Last summer I did try GK, but a small kite.

I do have a surfboard (Naish 5'2"), but found that it does not give me any more juice than my twin tip (132 JL sister).

Anyrate - hopefully I will be back in the Bay Area next month, and I will not even need a larger kite : )

Right now in Hatteras until May 1st - so far very light wind days....

Thanks!
