Dumbass Surfer rescued from rocks near Cliff House

One time I got rolled at OB, released my kite. My board went up on the beach in 30 seconds, meanwhile my kite got pulled OUT to sea by the rip despite the onshore wind. I was swimming/bodysurfing in thinking I'd never see it again. (At this point a CG coast guard heli flew by and checked on me but I waved them off). Five minutes later I was walking out of the water and my kite bumped me from behind; it had pulled loose from the rip and gotten blown back in.
