Sorry, by "Decision" I didn't necessarily mean purchase. I heard that Baja Joe's has a couple Rhinos and Rebels to demo while we're down there which is perfect. I'll definitely be hitting up the demo days, but getting everyone's feedback is very helpful in narrowing the field.

I'm trying to dial in the two kite quiver, too. The 10m and 14m are the way to go for me (175lbs). I rode that almost all last season and was fine. In CR I rode my 8m but it was 05 and my 06 vegas 10m felt as good as the 05 8m so I rode that most of the time. I know the 12m is the "sweet" kite, but I just don't want to own a 16m kite. Yuck, I'd rather not ride, personally. The 14m Vegas turns so fast I think even Ollie could double loop that bad boy. :)

I'm excited to try the new Rhino as Kite Wind Surf just got them in Tuesday and I blew one up today to check it out but the wind was WAY too mellow to really tell anything. The kite, looks sweet, but I want to try it and feel the "massive" hang times! WOO HOO!!! As far as range goes the Rhino boasts some BIG low end on their site. I'm not sure I buy into the hype until I try it myself. Almost had a chance today. Bummer!

Lots of people ride the Waroo so it must be a good kite, too. I simply think North makes great kites. I've neve been let down by them.

I just picked up an 06 9m caution answer. the 07s have just come out, so there are some deals to be had on the 06s. pretty psyched, i think it'll be a fun kite.

for your kite decision, you should probably think about what other kites you have and where you plan on riding. the rhino isn't really a wave oriented kite, but it'll probably serve you well inland. also, some kites may have better high end and others have better low end, so, what other kites do you have? do you need a 9m that can act like a 7, or do you need a 9m that can act as a 12?

My other kite is a 12m Switchblade. I do most of my riding at 3rd ave, but I'll definitely be hitting Wadell and Sherman this year.

Today at Sherman it was blowing 20mph...nice. A couple of guys demo'd my 12m Trix to their liking. Feel free to call if you would like to demo this new category of hybrid....SSLE The GK-Trix comes in 7,9,12,15 I, 210 pounds, was on the 15 today lovin' it. Very responsive kite....one pump, built super tough.

Fassn8:
Is your Cabrinha SB a SB1 of SB2. I ask because the SB2 is considerably different; less bar pressure, 5 struts not 7, goes upwind better, flys faster thru the window, improved bar, Sprint system..and as you already know comes in a 10. The XB2 comes in a 9 and has bar pressure more similar to the SB1. Goes upwind better, turns faster, has improved bar, Sprint sytem, etc.,etc.

The newest Cabrinha kite, the Omega also comes in a nine and can be flown with a bar setup and feel of an XB2, or a setup with a feel more like the SB2. Has beefed up construction, Sprint system, etc.,etc.

I'm at 3rd most every day there is wind, so if you want to try a 12 SB2, a 9 or 12 XB2, or a 12 Omega, pls contact me.
