I've got an FLX 132 that I bought from Evan, and a XXXX that I got from somewhere else -I had a connection with the distributor at the time.
FLX has ABS rails and PBT top/bottom sheets. I've dropped it a few times and overall haven't been super gentle with it, and it's going strong. Ride is smooth, better in voodoo chop, and Has alot more power for its size that the rrd. Goes upwind great, and works in seriously light wind.
RRD 132x 38 is probably closer to the FLX 128 in terms of planing power/upwind than the FLX 132. - It has a rounder outline, feels faster and edges like crazy- I haven't been pulled off edge on this board. Also, Toeside turns hookup like crazy. Lots of pop, too. Alot of people pass this board up, but it's definitelyworth a ride - I love this board. Counstruction wise, it's full glass, built like an amundson or a jimmy lewis, but it doesn't feel like it will crack or anything. I haven't been especially careful with this board, either, and it's fine.
In terms of ride, these two boards are at completely opposite ends of the spectrum, and they're both great rides.

Great input all. I'm on the fence. Amundson Custom, FLX, or possibly another Drop LTD, 132 this time. Original might get warrantied as it was within a year turns out. However, the immediate need is unfulfilled. It'll be another Drop if the budget doesn't pan out. FLX or Amundson otherwise. Seems like good feedback on these two for construction/durability.
The Drop LTD met it's demise probably by one too many kite loops/hard landings. It delaminated right under the rear heel. Granted, this is after almost a year of abuse. So, great board overall, but I'm pounding the shiite out of it.

You need to try a 2006 Aggression Kiteboard. Super strong, very light with amazing pop. I'll be riding in Sherman Island this weekend if you want to ride my 128x39 Aggression.
