I am driving north from Central Mexico and I will need a kite break somewhere. Last year I stopped in San Carlos, near Guaymas. I saw plenty of kites on the bay, and I raced out to about 8 street ends hoping to get on the water... every last one of these had either a security guard, or a bunch of barbed wire and no trespassing signs. What's the trick to kiting San Carlos, mainland Mexico?
On my last try I also contacted the admin of the San Carlos Kite blog... never received any reply.
Thank You,
Kip

Re: The "Other" San Carlos (Guaymas)?
I kited there years ago. There's a proper beach north of the town. First you drive past an RV park and then you get to a little road that takes you to a beach with a parking lot. There's one little restaurant/bar there. At least this was the case in 2007. Dunno what's changed since then.
