Kiting with Wakeboard

Hi,

Anyone try kiting with a wakeboard? Just wondering if it's possible, better, worse. Anyone know the pro's and con's of using a wakeboard instead of a kiteboard?
Thanks for the input,
AH

My friend uses a wakeboard. He installed 4 fins from the kiteboard (it's easy).
I don't think that wakeboard is too different from a kiteboard.

It's possible, but has it's limitations. Typically, wakeboards have much more rocker, and are shorter and wider than kiteboards. Wakeboards are not well suited for handling chop and high speeds. They do have good pop. The higher rocker makes for decreased ability to get up and planing quick. They also are usually lacking finage, sometime shaving only one fin in the center at each end. You may also have trouble staying upwind effectively.

They will work, but have limitations and will slow your progress and kiteboarding skills. Overall, better to get yourself a kiteboard.

Hope this helps!
Ollie
