We 3 (kgb) are in!
With trash bags and wheel barrels. We will be there from 8:30 until we have to teach at 9:45. I will bring donuts, fruit and water as well.
I would suggest garden gloves.
We will need help with a dump run.
Ollie is your truck available?
This is an awesome oppurtunoity to protect out precious access and restore our polluted shoreline!
Way to go Kiters! NJ** NJ**

Whole bunch of people came and helped clean up. The ones that "could not make it" can still help. Next time you see Ollie give him a a few bucks "trash disposal money". We collected a full pick-up truck and he has to drop it off at the dump so some contribution to him to defer his out of pocket money would be great.

Thanks

Thanks to everyone who came out today for the cleanup! We did a great job and got a full truck of trash out of there today. Much of the trash was clearly stuff that had been there for some time, I'm not sure if anyone has cleaned up much out there to the extent that we did today. Everything from (slowly) decomposing plastics, to tires, to a complete plastic front bumper to a cheap kiddie swim pool. Lots of crap out there, but we all made short work of it, so thanks again to everyone who showed up and thanks to Royce who came in with labor (himself and two KGB staff), bags, bananas and bottle water.

Good job guys! MJ0_

I got there late due to getting lost (Note to first-time visitors: check the online map *very* carefully before going, the turn-off from W. Grand Ave. is easy to miss, and "u-turns" are lengthy affairs). But you all must have done a great job because the beach already looked incredible when I arrived! It also looks like a really nice spot to ride--I'm looking forward to my first session there.

(Not that the Toll Plaza needs more endorsements--we've firmly established that it's the current "it" spot. ^^^

I enjoy the bay so often on the water, but it felt great cleaning up the beach. It needed it and for everyone who came out made it go quick, and it was a beautiful morning too!

Damn, that's a $5 and 30 minute missed exit right? thanks to everyone who showed.
