New for 2011 - Free advanced Kiteboarding instruction

Post by ramsey » Wed Apr 27, 2011 10:52 am

Hi all, Adam and I are offering new for this season (not really new if you go to 3rd regularly) FREE advanced kiteboarding instruction.

We are sick of you sucking so bad so come to the lower launch at 3rd and we will get you doing some SICK unhooked freestyle tricks.

Here's how it goes:
You come to 3rd ave. tell us what you would like to learn. We give you some instruction on the beach and then on the water we will laugh and heckle you until you finally get it through your thick skull (throwing in a good tip here or there). We are relentless. You WILL get better.

Requirements:
Must be able to kite upwind and jump. Must be able to launch from the lower launch at 3rd. Must have your own gear. Boots preferred but not required. Must be willing to charge hard and crash on every tack.

Not responsible for: equipment failures, broken ribs, bruises, torn kites, broken boards, stiff necks, lost kites, tangled lines, arguments with other kiters. This is a free service. We will not wipe your ass when you shit yourself. We will not drag your broke ass in if you hurt yourself.

Instructions taught -
Unhooked riding
Other skills taught - unhooked riding equipment setup, How to effectively heckle other riders, how to pick ideal wind conditions, short tacking, etc.
Instructions not taught - everything else

We are doing this as a service to the bay area riders to increase the level of riding locally. You WILL get stronger and you WILL get better. Tips welcome but not required :)

You don't have to be a good freestyle rider, but you have to WANT to be a good freestyle rider.

to sign up, just come to the lower launch and ask for Adam or Ramsey, feel free to PM me for more information

I can't tell if Ollie is mocking us or not... :-k

in case anyone is wondering, we are serious about this. there are a lot of people out there on the water with the talent and time to become really good freestyle riders, but they might not know where to start, I would love to help out some folks and get some more people pushing technical freestyle around here.

nothing makes me improve more than someone else who is throwing down too...

No, no mocking here, it's cool that you guys are up to do something like that that's inclusive to any riders there at 3rd that want to push it...

thanks - but I already have short tacking down pat. I could always use new material for heckling though.
