Ben pushed it for sure and gained respect, thats also why SS paid him for it because they wanted to be associated with his name. THats just plain marketing as it is. Now he does his own thing and thats good.

Slingy helped Ben get to where he is today. Ben appreciated it for sure. He made a tribute video when he left to say thank you and good bye. Respect on both sides is mutual, you can believe that!

Been a long time follower of Ben and always thought he did a great job representing Slingshot. He always paid his dues to the company that made it possible for him to do what he did. I've ridden slingshot for years now but hearing you coming down on him for trying his own thing makes me loose a lot of respect. Pretty big bummer from the company I like to ride.

Thanks Slaxer...I was starting to think I was the only one who thought BW was getting a bad rap? Ditto... I also think that the Slingshot Company is pure stoke for this sport!! but this guy "Shymac" is shy a few cells ?? I think he is a rep for the SS company.

Typo.."He thinks he is a rep for Slingshot"...It just makes me crazy to think this guy can hit and run without even checking to see if I was OK!!.. There was a witness to this event that came forward when he read this thread. I'm no longer "DISCREDITED" I did highjack the thread because this guy thinks he can just push it to the back of his mind and LOL on my behalf.. NICE!!!

I know this was a killer move gone bad.. as the guy who grabbed the kite told me this and also asked me if I knew he was.. this is where I got his name.. and i'm sure he did not mean to hit anyone.. but at the same time we need to "STOP" this hit and run sh*t.. as someone could pass out in the water or bleed to death.

Mr. Maxsteamer-

With all that has gone on lately I apprecite you taking this in as good fun. Your attention to safety and focus on awareness is paramount, thank you for that.

I don't ride SS nor do I claim to be Chris's best friend, but I have seen him conduct himself up and down the coast and thru Mexico with the highest level of professionalism. He represents himself and SS with much integrity. His demo's are great fun and one of the best parties out on the river, I just want to make sure he understands that there is much love for him down here on the bay. Let's call this water under the bridge and move on.

With that said I hope you and everybody else on BAKS has a safe and fun holiday.
