3rd ave google satellite images updated

While looking at size of the 3rd ave upper launch erosion I noticed google has new satellite images covering 3rd ave--check em out and see if you can spot your kite. They're also covering kites on the water if you don't zoom out too far.

check the beach erosion over time with google earth. They have a time slider since a few months now where you can select different time points of the data material/images they have on file.

check the erosion over 20 years or so. IMPRESSIVE. When is SFBA stepping i? I thought thats what we pay them for?

That is wild. Based on the color schemes of the best, north, cabrinha, slingshot and lack of any naish sigma kites visible in the close up views of the upper launch, I'm guessing that those photos are a few years old - maybe vintage 2006/2007?

If you look just offshore, that's me in the middle of a backmobe, right before the len10 megaloop and after a little slim chance for show :^o :^o :^o :^o :^o
