Does anyone here work in or run a shop where we can get a couple signs made up for Sherman?
Most important one - to place at upper launch more or less where most people stash their bags:
"Please stack your kites and roll up your lines! - Always!"
This is going to keep the peace and make everyone much happier as there are always tons of people who figure they can dump their kite right in the middle, leave their bar and lines fully layed out and go take a nap, have lunch, or whatever. Always a source of friction! You will see it on any visit, on any day.
Another couple of useful ones would be IN and OUT signs - two of each, for top & bottom. The paths work really well now so signs would be good, but the biggest one is the launch one. Then all you'd have to do, instead of usual lecture or bitching, is point to the sign and ask, "Can't you read?"
Then of course, at any launch, you have the gems who run their lines in their street clothes with ends 8 feet apart first thing and then pump up, suit up and go, but that's for another day...

Re: Sherman Upper Launch Sign
There's a sign shop locally not far from my shop space, I'll just have an upper launch sign made and post it at the East end of the U.L. where everyone keeps their bags and pumps at the edge of the bushes.
Not a big deal to get done, and it'll almost certainly result in some kind of improvement.

Welllllllllllllllll there you go again being pro-active. I'd like to contribute to that effort. Love the IN and OUT sign idea as this seems to be a continual problem not only in directing the BIG circle from the upper launch to the beach and back up the carpeted path, but also at the lower launch into the water. People, please keep the traffic moving in the right rotation!

Ok, will get them made soon on plain white corrugated plastic (no metal sharp edges) and mount on simple wood posts.

I think it should say deflate your kite and roll it up (uv and heat is bad on them anyway) and roll up your lines. my kites are old and cheap and i do this every time i come in, if i go back out i pump one up its not a big deal to me, i see people pumping up a whole quiver and leaving them out all weekend and riding the 9m the whole time wtf? i guess i need a wambulance.
Riding used and closeout kites and boards from e-bay,craigslist,ikitesurf, and local surf shops. Now riding home made foils

It is way better to exit the exit path...no 100 yards of scorching hot sun (sand not sun) because the whole path is carpeted...

Re: Sherman Upper Launch Sign
What's wrong with a sign something like:
THIS IS A TIGHT LAUNCH
Don't lay out your lines until
you have your kite and
body gear ready to go.
