Our event is not racing and timing based - It's about having a killer time riding and having fun! (+ party bus, drinks, food etc....)

It will be a blast!

Maybe I will get lucky and you will have to reschedule for another time.
We can work something out :-)

How about a Chrissy to 3rd Ave downwinder

This is for sure a distance race day.
here is the mail that went out to know racers.
Windsurfers & Kiteboarders,

For those of you who raced the SF Classic/UN Challenge last weekend, we hope you had a great time.

It is already time to start thinking about the next distance race! The Ronstan Bay Challenge is July 11-12 at St. Francis Yacht Club. It is the intention of the Race Committee to run the distance race on Saturday and course racing on Sunday. Click here for the Notice of Race and online registration.

Have a great 4th of July weekend!

-The StFYC Race Committee

Confirmed with the Yacht Club Racing committee that there is no conflict between the schedules of the 2 events!
We are good to go with the Crissy to Berkeley Live2kite downwider.
Thank you all for reserving a spot so far... we are already looking at a strong event....

That could be possible but there are a number of places further down where wind could die and it could get very tricky. Wind is almost always guaranteed from Crissy to Berk

Alameda to 3rd? Or Crissy to Sherman? LMG did that a few summers ago. I actually saw him from Angel Island that day... random:

So the downwinder has collected so far 3o participants!
We can easily accomodate 45-50 based on the bus, the boats for support, jets, and the party at the Live2kite Alameda shop.
So feel free to spread the word around - it will be tons of fun.

Happy 4th to all of you.

We are open through the weekend for both Greenbrae, and Alameda locations.

Here is the schedule:

My pump officially died over the weekend. Does anyone who is coming to the winder have an extra to trade for their favorite beverage?
