Shock the Monkey?

Post by Bulldog » Tue Mar 20, 2007 9:13 pm

Just read in Yoko's blog that Chris/SM got hurt at Alameda today. What happened? Is he okay? Anyone know details?

The Monkey joined the circus! Last seen riding away in a red truck with lights.

He's OK, but landed something bad and possibly dislocated his hip. All his gear was put away, his car moved and his girlfriend notified. We don't know exactly how it happened or what his injury is, but we are hoping it is not too bad and we'd love to see him back on the water again soon!

Chris, take care now and heal up soon!

Yeah, furious landing, dislocated hip but overall nothing super bad. I will be up and running in no time :).

Thanks for all the help and good wishes.

 VERY sorry you got hurt today Chris!!.
I am fairly sure it was REALLY BIG though!!.

Please enlighten us all, (when the morphine wears off) about if it had something to do w/
very shallow water conditions, or some other possible hazard (beside extreme altitude!).

hehe, no I didn't :). Now that I had a chance to think about it clearly, I must have hit the bottom because I can't think of any other reasonable way this could have happened. So this was purely out of stupidity, I should have better known better.

It prob was the shallow bottom, but maybe one of your feet came out of the straps and you inadvertenly did the splits? (has happened to me)
