Dude Dave, Hi-altititude surfing was epic today.
3 ft. of pow at Sugarbowl. I got to kite and ski in the same 24 hr. period. Gotta love Norcal.
P.S. -- Somehow it's easier to drop a 15 ft. cliff on skis when just a few hours earlier, you were boosting 15 ft. on a kite.
Forecast for the next five days: Snow, wind, snow, wind, snow, wind...

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

Alameda was on today. Freaking sweet, too! It was great to see some faces I haven't seen since October. WOO HOO! Water was cold and my feet and hands were numb. After about 2 1/2 hours I couldn't tell if I was still holding onto the bar or not so I had to come in  Icey cold. Love it. Nice to see the wind picking up. I think it's gonna be a rockin' season!

Stoken my day!!! Thanks for the update!
I've been looking at weather-weather-weather and think your right, this might be a very productive year, especailly this spring!!
Weather around here has been really beautiful, THATS BAD for kiting for great for everyone else.. REALLY Sucks to be into something that conflicts with what others like.. Thats why I like you mo-fo's so much, we think alike, I'm just a little slower.
Anyway, today has "some" promise. It's already blowing a little and the swell is supposed to increase with the forcasted wind. I hope it holds true becouse bone fishing sucks in ten plus and kiting in waves sucks in less then 20.
Another twist comes into play when I consider taking out a visiting kiter from S.A.. This poor bloke read my review (from years back) and desided to vacation here in Treasure Cay. He's been here for about a week and only gotten in "some" lame-a$$ flatwater riding. He saw me kite in 40kts one day but other then that he's probable convinced this place is unbearably boring, he's wifes happy though! 8) Anyway I feel like I owe the poor bastard a decent day out but I havent been able to access his ability's, so I'm feeling abit reluctant (I really dont want to lead him into the vally of the shadows, if you know what I mean). Besides his wife will probably hack me into little peices if I dont bring him home in "acceptable condition", there simply arnt enough Band-Aids in all the Abacos if he takes a roll across some dry reef, besides I dont want to spend my day cleaning up after him.. (fending off the sharks!!)
Oh well he's a big boy he can judge for himself. Wish him luck

Pretty darn cold, but the wind was steady for a good sesh before it got too holey and I had to come in...Don't want to get stuck in an ebb tide in those freezing waters...a good way to die (especially without a drysuit). As a matter of fact, I really should stay just offshore when kiting alone in those waters without ANYONE(except Indian Bob watching from shore) around. Sometimes it's easy for me to forget what it would be like to be submerged in that stuff when I'm having so much fun on top of it. Plain Dangerous. A good excuse to rip inside the buoys!so Men ..
how icy was it.?
See ya' on the water.
