Wow! That is insane  Snow kiting looks out of control insane.

I thought Ollie's double kiteloop was sick (and it IS! =D> ) But I think I counted at least 12 loops in this one jump! Holy craps! These guys are nutz!

LMG, you probably need to upgrade to the latest quicktime as it seems to be using the new quicktime compression. That would explain why you can only hear the audio. I hope this helps out.

In the meantime check this out: Snow Kiting Insanity You have to see through to about the middle when they do the biggest jump off the side of the mountain. I think I would have passed out.

I like the one when the base jumper is taunting the cops, runs and tosses his drag shoot only to have it grabed by the cops who then foul his shoot as he goes off.. thus killing him.
Boy they looked suprised!
Cop ends by saying into his radio after taking a peek over the edge, "we got a D.W.G.', that's right that would be dead white guy"!

Totally classic, those guys play for real.

I hate to be the one that burst your bobble but none of these movies has a single shot of snowkitting in it.
The guys that are on really short lines hybrids(a cross between a parachute and a paraglider) are Speed-Flying or Speed-Ridding (I know they need a better name for it!)
Then the guy loopin it like a madman with flares on his feet is on a regular paraglider.
I sure like the human catapult as a no-wind alternative.
Snowkiting is fun though.

"I hate to be the one that burst your bobble but none of these movies has a single shot of snowkitting in it."

As far as the kite-loops goes, someday- someone is going to repeat this concept on real kite gear...

I once wrote a few posts of a dream I had on the subject. I can now see in my minds eye such a feat being accomplished over snow (my dream TOTAL INVERT loop was proformed over land after leaving water then returning to water) . I know someday real video of this accomplishment pulled off on kite gear will show up somewhere, but I already regrete the loss of life (s) that WILL be attributed to such attempts.
As many of you now know my 14 year old son died this year skateboarding. I believe his death is in somepart do to my repution as a dare-devil and in part due to genetics. I also believe the big-guys (pro's and event orginizers) showing up at his local park for the skate event he was to attend the next morning had a hugh effect on him. We teach each other through example, that how I learn at least..
I feel kinda sick now,
I'm going for a walk..
Love, Greg (out)
