To all...
As I hate to type, feel free to give me a call and I will be happy to answer any and all questions (if I know the answer)
Friday came up late but I was out at noon for about 1 hr. and had a blast on my 11m Sonic... and in a shorty...
There were plenty of people out and most had a great time, except for the ones that got blown down wind and had to walk back...
Next time they are calling for high winds in the valley, you know where to go... North go to Dyke 8, South go to Granate bay...
It's that simple...

I want to personally let out a big shout to all that attended this past weeks festivities at Folsom. =D>
I am confident everyone left with a smile on their face and good memories of 2 great days of great wind and water. 8)
Though this will probably be the last of the 80 plus degrees, there is sure to be more great days to be had at the lake.
I would like to point out something my good friend Big Dave reminded me of,
Everyone needs to know that, though the past week was filled with nice smooth wind in the 18 - 22 mph range, warm wind and generally mellow conditions, during this coming season be where of very strong storm winds and super strong gusts and extremely cold water that Folsom tends to see during the fall, winter and spring.
As I am new to this sport and I certainly saw my share of new kiters this past week, everyone needs to know that, strong, gusty conditions are not for the light hearted and inexperienced kiter. [-X
As I have been windsurfing Folsom for the past 13 years, I know how it can get and I can assure you that there will be many days that I will still opt to windsurf and forgo the kite for safety sake. Itís not uncommon to get 30 to 40 mph days with gusts topping 50 during the winter.
I (for one) know that is not the time for me to be out with a big kite in my hands. But with that said, I look forward to many more days at Folsom with all my new friendsÖ
Remember to be safe and understand just how dangerous this sport can be if not treated with total respect and judgementÖ..(all the time)
