4th of July Club Sherman video

Post by KillaHz » Fri Jul 14, 2006 9:27 am

So, got some time to put together a video of the debauchery at Sherman over the 4th weekend.

Good partying, great rinding from the locals and Mark Doyle. A lot of carnaige as well all caught on film.

Enjoy...

(first time using YouTube, so not sure about the delivery. You should shrink the page down to about 400w x 400w...the video was optimized to play at 320 x 280.)

Nice job!

Almost makes me wish I stayed local instead of going to Hood River for the 4th :)

Thanks Z! More to come as I have had plenty of time since gutting my finger. The stitches are out but the finger doesn't seem ready yet...still can't feel much.

Not jonesing yet and enjoying the break, so in no hurry. I'll be up at the island shooting this weekend though.

GB,

Nice job on the video. It was a sick weekend, no doubt. I don't think there's anyone that didn't have a good time, except for the guy who went out on the chopper.

For those who weren't there, it was a new kiter with very old gear and a botched launch. Word is he was released the next day after having suffered a concussion and presumably a fair amount of bruising.

Bring the kite up slow and sheet out!

For the record, he was not a 'new kiter'. He's been kiting for at least 3.5 years - I 1st met him in La Ventana in the winter of '02-'03.

At any rate, it was an unfortunate accident to be sure and something to learn from. I recall somebody saying he was a first year kiter, but no matter. It struck me at the time though, that anything can happen and we tend to get complacent. Most accidents happen while on land and launching or landing. I hope I can keep reminding myself to be conscious of my safety release so i can hit it fast enough if need be. One can only hope.
