Maybe I'm spoiled by Baja, but 12 to 28 (Sherman) doesn't get me excited. Alameda and Emerito are all over the map. 3rd looks the smoothest, but the temp reading is 41 degrees? Brrrrr.

If anyone's out on a bow kite today, let us know how it handles 20 mph differences in wind in a 1/2 hr. period.

It's nuking here in the south bay, but it's COLD! Seems like dry-suit weather to me, or maybe good weather for watching a kiteboarding video.

Alameda Rocks!!!

Post by Don Bogardus » Thu Mar 09, 2006 6:09 pm

Alameda was TOO much fun!@!@!, (and not that gusty).
When its as windy as today, I don't see the value of
a bow, wth more area than you need up there!! :)

It was absolutely nuking at Alameda. I was way juiced on a Type Wave 10 and could've easily been on an 8. I don't like the low tide though...but it was fun.

Don.. I think you are missing the point of a bow... I had a great time today in the 30mph+ gusts, and later when everyone else was on 14m kites....

I was on a 10m bow, which made my day.... With a C kite... I would have had to rig twice....

Yeah it was so much fun, i had a blast. Solid two hours! It was gusty first and it got better. I got cold after a while, but it was too much fun that I couldn't come back. Finally back on the water...

Dave I got to fly the HiR!!! Man it will take some getting used to. Couple of bar adjustments and I got it flying nice. Sent a couple of small jumps, and the kite can hang. Nothing more than 4 feet, but it does not like to come down. Hope to really send it on Monday.

First day in the water and now my body feels like it's breaking down!! Why did I spen so much time in the gym??
