Re: Crissy Race Season start date?
Missing race season already? Me too :(
This year started in April:
http://www.stfyc.com/default.aspx?p=.NE ... 9128&chgs=
so I'd assume a similar timing.

Re: Crissy Race Season start date?
I couldn't find much information on the website other than the drop-in and jersey fees and that it's on Thursday nights. Is there a link to the race map (or does it change every week), the duration of the race, rules, etc...
I am looking for general information if available somewhere.

Most of what you're looking for will be in the "Notice of Race" . There were a couple of different courses last season, but the usual one is:
Start in front of StFYC,
Upwind to top mark towards GG bridge round to Port,
Downwind to gate marks between last chance and aquatic park (don't go through the finish line on the downwind),
upwind to finish line (white mark and the committee boat)
The target time for the races was 15 minutes (I think) and you have to finish within 15 minutes of the first finisher. At the start of the season I couldn't get around in the time limit (the first finisher was often done in around 12 minutes). By the end of the season I'd have a few minutes to spare and sometimes wasn't even last! :) They used to aim for three races a night, the first few nights there were only two because the wind died.
Rules are ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing with the Formula kite amendments.
Ask more questions or come down to Crissy and ask people with race boards what the deal is. Follow people around on the water too, they often sail a shorten version of the course using the Anita buoy and the buoys in front of StFYC.
This gives you a bit of an idea of the course. The old events are on Livestream somewhere too.
