Where to train launching / landing near San Jose

Hey,

I did kideboarding couple of years ago and now want to start again. I want to train launching, landing, kite control etc. Where can i do it? In Alameda there are restrictions that you should go to water once you launched but i want to train first.

You can try Shoreline kite site. It is OK place to go kiteboarding too. Let me know If you want to go there, I have a landboard, too. Can be a little bit sketchy, since wind is not perfect there.

Are you planning on working on kite control with a full size 12m or just a 5m kite?
I wouldn't spend too much time on the beach with a full size kite on a windy day: that's just asking for trouble.
Need to work on your kite skills with a full size kite? Go to Alameda on a mild day, put your wetsuit on, launch your kite and go body dragging in the water.
Just my 2 cents...
Kites: 2020 F-One Bandit: 10m.
Board: 2018 F-One Slice 5'1 Surf/Foil convertible
Harness: Manera Union.
Wetsuit: Manera 5/4 X10D
