Hey everyone,

I am new to these forums. I am a beginner and have started my lessons and work right across the street from 3rd ave. My brother gave me a board for my birthday, but I am not sure if it is too big. I am a big guy. I am 6'3" 255lb. The board he gave me was the Best Breeze 158 X 46.http://www.bestkiteboarding.com/en-us/breeze Is that to big or would it be fine to learn on? Any suggestions for kites for 3rd?

Thanks for any advice! +*!@

Perfect for learning and light wind days. You'll want a smaller board after you become proficient at staying upwind and want to progress to jumps and tricks.

You'll want a 12m to start with. Then something smaller. 10m or 9m depending upon your preference and kite brand. Please though if you only have a 12m and your big board and it's nuking out do not rig. Consider it time to buy your next smaller kite. "It's the only size kite I had" is not a valid excuse to put yourself and others in harms way by rigging too big.

Thanks for all the advice. I wouldn't be out there on days like that yet. I am going to take my time and not try to kill myself or others. I doubt I would be out there without a trainer until I am completely comfortable. I would rather spend the money and get guidance instead of going out there and making a scene.
