Places to stay in Cabarete July 30 to Aug 6th?

Anyone has any good insight into the hotels around Bozo Beach in Cabarete?

I'm going there with a couple of other people in the first week of August.

Here are the suggestions so far:
The Millennium beach resort
Hotel Villa Taina

Any other must do activities or places to checkout while there?

Thanks,
F

I was in Cabarete the 3rd week of May.
Millenium is a big hotel right on the beach. Room prices are reasonable.
I stayed at Watermark a couple of times. This is on Kite beach, and 2bd/2br rooms. Cost is more than Millennium. I had stayed at Agualina on Kite beach on a previous visit. Cheaper rooms.
La Boca is a lagoon, and about 20mt drive, and once done with the lagoon, can do a downwinder to the kite beach.
On a previous visit I went on a waterfall/river hike with Iguana Mama. Took most of the day for that trip. Enjoyed seeing some other aspect of DR.
Encuentro has waves, but not sure what they are like in August. They were blown out for my visit.
In Cabarete, Vela has SUP for rentals.

Just finishing up a few days in Caberete after spending some time further east for a wedding.

We stayed at an AirBNB east of town / upwind of Cabarete Bay. Haven't spent a lot of time in town but really starting to like it. Kiting seems to be better in the bay / kite beach / Encuentro and more stuff is walkable from Bozo/kitebeach area. That said, it is a short slog upwind to La Boca or back from kitebeach and you have the place to yourself. Let me know and I'll forward you details.

Spent the day at Agualina/Dare 2 Fly/Vacabar. The grounds are nice. Beach is a bit small and supposedly going to get worse as summer progresses. Bozo will have more beach space.

If you have wheels Playa Calenton / Playa Grande / Playa Preciosa are worth a visit on a no wind day. Or bring gear because the western end of both Grande/Preciosa look like fun if it is windy enough. Maybe 1-1.5 hour drive east. Make a day of it and stop at Laguna Dudu (150 pesos per person) past Cabrera for some fun (small) zip lining, cliff jumping, cooling off in the cenotes.
