Hi,
Im going on a 1 month trip in July,
Anyone have experience, recommendations or tips on kiting in Morocco, Portugal, Cyprus?
I heard Essaouira is not super clean water and Dakhla is amazing but way more remote...
Thanks

Re: Morocco, Portugal, Cyprus
I was in Dakhla for 8 days last February (2015) and it was windy every day. It is in the desert and there is nothing to do except for kiteboarding. It is very remote. There are numerous kite "camps" around the lagoon where you can stay, all with rental equipment. Some are very cheap if you stay in one of their "tents", more expensive if you stay in a "bungalow". Most are all-inclusive with meals at set times.
I suggest checking out "Club Mistral/Ocean Vagabond." A very popular place is "Dakhla Attitude", but it is very busy, a much bigger place, though they have a big shop w/lot's of gear. I stayed at "Dahkla Spirit" in a tent. It was fine for me, but if I ever went back I would take one of their bungalows. They are new, and small, and their customer service fell short a few times. But they are trying.

Essaouira is a city in Morocco, with other things to do and see. I went there for sightseeing 2 weeks later, but there was no wind at all.
Ask away if you have questions, I can probably think of some other useful "tips" that I learned from that trip.
