Hi all,
I'm headed to cozumel and tulum for christmas (!!!) Does anyone know of a place I can rent gear on Cozumel? I know there is Morph Kiteboarding in Tulum (not sure if they rent kites, but I could use an intermediate lesson).
Or maybe it's just better to haul all my gear around..... any tips/advice/stories appreciated!!

I was just in Tulum 2 weeks ago. There was no wind during our stay. I did see signs for a couple of kite shops but never saw any of them. Personally, I would bring my biggest kite. Wind in Tulum is usually mid teens from what I researched. You could always rent a board when you get there if you didn't want to drag one along. I would email the local shops and see what they have to offer. Just Google kiteboarding Tulum
Tulum is awsome. We stayed on the beach. That said, food there is very expensive with a lot of restaurants serving fusion type meals. After spending $100 on a couple of meals we started going to town 6 mile drive. The prices were much better there and the food was excellent. If you do eat on the beach Las Estrellas in Cabanas La Luna was about the best price. They also had a fast free wireless connection. Worst restaurant biggest rip off Mateos Mexican Grill.

@dontfeedthenerd - Thanks! i contacted him, but rates were a little steep for renting so I'm going to haul my gear.
@stewart - good tips! I heard there's Morph kiteboarding near Tulum but idk if they rent. Also will definitely take your advice on the restuarants... cheap, dirty Mexican food is one of the best things about trips to Mexico!!
