For the very first time, F-One pro rider Etienne Lhote will come to the Bay Area for about 10 days April 27 - May 6, to dispense a few fortunate riders the best moves and tricks they have ever dreamed of. A total of 3 mini camps will be organized and open to intermediate to advanced riders, max 5 riders. Only 2 stops in the US, one in Miami and one in the Bay Area. Etienne is a natural talent and a really cool cat, finished 3rd PKRA 2005 and is a constant fixture on all acclaimed F-One video, from Manera in Cabo Verde, to the Addikt I and Addikt II in Mauritius. Etienne is very well versed with organizing pro camps, his latest being in Cabo Verde and Borocay (2011 winter). I had a very nice day in the waves today on some new f-one gear, and it was a gas! My first few sessions, at OB and crissy, have only been on the 12, but I got some time on the 10....both bandit 4s....and, while the 12 is a great kite for a 12, the 10 was really nice in the waves....stable fast, light, and fun...

The bigger surprise is that I got to try Brian's f-one surfboard strapless, I think he has the 5' 10", and it was waaaay more fun than my custom surfboard. Super predictable when you lean hard into a bottom turn, but nice and loose off of the top. The season is here, and I am stoked!

we have added 2 more options to take advantage of Etienne's visit. The first is a clinic/bbq in alameda open to all advanced beginners and up this Friday evening 4/29. The second is tips and tricks clinics at 3rd Ave that coincide with our DEMO weekend at 3rd ave. Here are the details and you can sign up on our website :)

1) BBQ and Tips & Tricks ALAMEDA 4/29

Friday April 29th 5pm-7pm Tips & Tricks Clinic* & BBQ at ALAMEDA *Beginning Intermediate and up Camp $49

This is our KICK OFF Clinic to welcome Etienne to town and have him help you with transitions, jumping, back rolls, or any other beginning intermediate to advanced moves you would like instruction on. This will be a land based clinic where we have bars set up and he will demonstrate how to do each maneuver, then will do an on water demonstration. Riders can hit the water and try stuff, then come in for a nice shack BBQ.



2) 2 day Intensive all day Camps

2 day April 30-May 1 Advanced Freestyle Camp 10am-6pm (pre-requisite jumping) $699 SOLD OUT

we are not holding our Alameda clinic today....

so Etienne is going to stop by our Coyote Point Shop in San Mateo.

He will be there from 5-7pm to meet and greet and just hang out after grabbing a session at 3rd Avenue today. Come by and meet F-One Pro Team Rider (PKA #3 2005) and instructor extraordinaire.

In French tradition, FREE RED WINE will be served to toast our visiting pro rider. Nico from F-One will also be there to chat about the 2011 F-One kite and board lineup.

Come on by for apres surf and wine today.

We also will VALIDATE PARKING for anyone coming in just to hang out and check out our FULL RETAIL SHOP chocked full of 2011 gear :)
