Just finised my lessons with Kite Wind Surf (KWS) in Alameda and wanted to post my quick review. Bottom line: These guys are fantastic! Not only are they extremely knowledgeable regarding all of the gear and safety, they are incredibly passionate about the sport. I had my land lesson 2 weeks ago and my water lesson this past Saturday (I've been flying a trainer kite for a couple months now when I have time). In my opinion their program is the best in the area (I have done a ton of research). The jet ski supported lesson is the ONLY way to go. We were able to get real-time wind updates while on the ski and then go anywhere in the bay depending on the conditions. It was a light wind day at Alameda, but blowing 15 out at Treasure Island, so we cruised over there in no time. My lesson was around 4 hours and was an absolute blast. To top things off, you get $200 credit towards new gear if you take lessons through KWS. Check them out: www.kitewindsurf.com, you won't be disappointed.

*NOTE: Do yourself a favor and practice with a trainer kite BEFORE you show up to your lessons. At the end of the day (IMHO) it seems that the best kiteboarders are the best kite-flyers.

KWS - You guys rock!

Jason

PS. Andy, you're the man! Thanks for all your help.
