Have been before, but never kiting. Heard south winds in the winter can be good here, but what about summer winds? How well does the wind direction this time of year work? Fog factor? Bodega sensor reliability? (looks gusty today) Tides look OK right now- above 3 ft all afternoon.

South is good for the bay NW (which is typical) is good for the harbor or Salmon Creek. Bodega Bay sensor is pretty good (don't go by the Bodega Marine Lab or Bodega Bouy sensor). I don't go out unless it averages 15. It can be gusty. Friday was sweet. Keep your kite low and aim it away from the campground. Respect the windsurfers, have fun.
It is obvious that we can no more explain a passion to a person who has never experienced it than we can explain light to the blind. T.S.Eliot

Warning to riders, below the launch-lower part of bay near shoreline-stay clear. Shiska bob alley-bodega marine lab has stakes sticking out 12", on high tide you cant see. This is a comprmised area for studies, if you get down wind, be careful and walk back up. !!
Emergency landing down wind of dune-dive it and get ready to release safety. We keep it real here, so leave attitude at home. Please help to let others know-keep it safe! We love this spot!!
