Broken Toys @ Sherman.

I felt this topic was worthy of it's own thread...(re: Sherman Self Launch/Land Poles)

There are actually three hazards up at the island, the kicker, one slider about 50% buried in the sand, and a second slider that looks to be about 90% buried in the sand. The kicker is in the middle of the best flatwater in the Bay Area. I too have tried to move them without success. All three are delapidated and are not only in the way, they represent a danger to kites and kiters alike.

Greg said that he will move the kicker...many of us would really appreciate that. I agree with Kitecrazy, 'remove it or set it adrift'. I'm not here just to pitch a bitch, I'd like to help out too. Its going to take some man power to clean up the island, so lets set up a day and time to get the job done.

Ragman.

what a selfish post. complaining about 1 kicker in the entire bay area. takes up about 1% of the butter at Sherman and you still feel like complaining. what a little bitch.

Well put Steffans..These toys would not be in the condition there are if this so called clean up crew was around when LMG was posting for help last fall. The few people that help did the best they could with what they had at the time, and I don't even ride the thing. I would not set these toys adrift... [-X .

Greg, maybe the next toy you make should have a cantilevered base so kiters can still kite under the ramp. Satisfy everyone......impossible.

Yeah i agree.. if you don't like them kite somewhere else.. its about 50 square feet of the bay that its taking up. THanks a lot to LMG and everyone else who has put all the effor into building and maintaining them over the years.
