Kiters,

For the first time ever, a kiteboard course racing division has been added to the Sperry Topsider NOOD (National Offshore One Design) Regatta. It will be held at St. Francis Yacht Club June 26-27, 2010.

The Sperry Topsider NOOD is held at 10 locations nationwide each year. This year will mark the series' return to the Bay area after a six-year absence. We will be running three different race courses and there are currently 147 boats signed up in 19 different classes.

Registration will take place at the St. Francis Yacht Club on Friday, June 25th from 1700-1900 and 0800-1000 on Saturday, June 26th. Racing will be Saturday and Sunday with the first Warning Signal scheduled for 1500 and 1300 respectively.

Attached is the schedule of events and the entry form. The entry form needs to be turned in at one of the registration time slots listed above. You may use your usual season jersey if you have one, if you need one email raceoffice@stfyc.com.

If you would like more information on the NOOD, visit http://www.sailingworld.com/nood-regattas/san-francisco. As the kite class is a very recent addition to the lineup, don’t be alarmed about not being listed in the NOR or online registration.

We are pleased to welcome kiters to join the fun and hope you can make it!

I'm not sure if everyone was aware of the event this weekend...Any racers are encouraged to come out and support this breakthrough for kite racing. The NOOD regatta is the largest US circuit sailboat race with 9 different venues around the Nation.
