SOLO PADDLESURF TO LAUNCH AT KITEXPO!

A new SUP-dedicated company, SoloPaddlesurf has been in the works for the past year and a half and is launching its first boards at the Pismo SUP and KiteXpo demo event! Based in Southern California, the team is composed of guys with varying ocean sports background in windsurfing, kiteboarding and of course, surfing. SoloPaddlesurf will be raffling off their new Carbon Fiber paddle and will have all five of their new SUP boards available for demo. Check out http://www.solopaddlesurf.com for more info.

Other SUP Participants:

Global Surf Industries: Global Surf Industries (GSI) operates from its world headquarters in Manly on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. In September 2002, GSI entered into a joint-venture agreement with Cobra International. Today, GSI has a portfolio of 11 brands and offers seven SUP boards.

C4: C4 Waterman consists of some of today’s most respected and accomplished watermen including Brian Keaulana, Mike Fox, Todd Bradley, and shaper Dave Parmenter. C4 has eleven SUP’s in their 2009 line and will be raffling off some killer swag including a new carbon paddle.

SUP demo hours; 9a to 12p or whenever the wind starts blowing!

KITECYLE LOOKING FOR OTHER RECYCLE CENTERS/TRAINING FACILITIES

If you have old kites, sails or windsurf sails, bring them to the Expo and get a tax write off from Kitecylce, now with nonprofit status! They are also looking for recycle centers in other windy areas. For instance, Lydia is setting something up with Palapas Ventana in La Ventana now, and will be training some locals on how to make the reusable bags. This is a great project for social or special needs programs in your community.

RAFFLE AND MISC

* Headhunters sunscreen has generously donated a bunch of the good stuff to keep you protected!
* H20 Audio has donated two ipod cases and headphones!
* Donkey Dick Kiteboarding has donated their new kitesurfing watches with kite graphics!
*11m Best 2009 Waroo
*6.5m Wainman HI Smoke courtesy Kite Naked (can get bigger sizes for nominal price!)

Oh yeah, it's coming up! Looking forward to seeing you there Chris!

Chris, LMG and I will be on hand to demo all the above mentioned kites and answer any questions anyone might have about the kites and get you out on them for a spin. Out of these three models, there's something for everyone, no matter your experience, preference or riding style. We're looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, as well as new ones. Come by the SS corral and check out the gear!

C'mon now, who's heading down this year? The wind's been good lately, and hopefully the wind will hold. Wind or not, always a good time, so let's hear it, who's going?

OR/Windydevil Crew rolls Friday AM, and we plan to ride the coast somewhere along the way. We'll make the call and post it early AM Friday in case anyone wants to join us and get an early jump on the demos.

On another note, Hyperflex Wetsuits is now a late sponsor and is adding a couple of 4/3 AMPs to the raffle mix.
