New Kite Smell?

Post by jowall » Tue Jan 23, 2007 5:33 pm

Hey All:

I just wanted to say I moved houses last week and pulled out my new (6 sessions) kite of the closet and the smell is way better than a new car smell. Now I can smell wind only weeks away.

I think we all have SCWS.

Smelly closet wetsuit syndrome.

Maybe the million dollar idea is to sell wetsuit scented air fresheners for cars.

Hey Horny,

I was actually thinking we could bottle it and give it to our girls as perfume. What an aphrodisiac!

When my girl opened the closet just to smell the wetsuits like I always do in the off season, I knew it was love.

We can call it Eww de Neoprena

even better: the smell of rotting booties coated with The Marrow's mud after two days in my mini van.. Simmer that concoction for a few days in the tropical sun and just one wiff will knock you on your butt.
Speaking of new kites, my new kite is a real trip! Maybe I was on bow's too long or something but that sucker is taking me some time to fully figure out.
My first jumps and kite loops were going fine, nuthiing bigg, felt kinda lame actually. I was having trouble building power untell some more wind came up- then some good chop started to came up.. Soon I was kiting with more and more speed and unhooped a hard low level loop off this little knee breaker of a ramp. WOW MOMMA that puppy got my full and undivided attention before it pounded me into pulp!
Now I'm scared of my new toy, I think it's tried to kill me!

Not many people try kitelooping a 15meter kite.
