Ok, so we are set for Saturday. I will be coming from Sacramento and got some one to come in early for me. I expect to be at the shop about 9ish and start class about 9:30 . I am bringing extra stuff so we will be able to take care of whoever shows up. Those of you that are looking at certification to work on the instructor level come talk to me at the day of the class. I can set you up with AHA if that is what you need and also explain the "equivalency" standard for Red Cross etc...
Hopefully I will not encounter any traffic gliches, but don't panic if I am a few minutes late...I will be there.
Once again thank you to Jeff and Kite Wind Surf for hosting the event.
See you there
Kirk

Many thanks for a valuable class! Lots of great information today Kirk. (I hope I [glow=red]NEVER[/glow] need to use any of it!) Thanks: for lunch Jeff (I had the Thai chicken salad-- delightful.) And Ollie for those Baja stories. And Ms. Greene for those brownies... and milk...
...and Krispy Kremes of course.
Did I miss a good day of kiting at the coast?

A big tip of the hat to Kirk for an wonderfully entertaining and informative class. =D>
Bringing specifics of how to approach First Aide and CPR in the environment of wetsuits and kite lines was incredible value added to a regular certification. This tribe member is very appreciative. The more folk on the water with this knowledge the better off we all are! However, after that image of a Krispy Kremed artery I may just defer back to the Krab/Shrip Louie that Kite Wind Surf provided.
If anyone ever needs a CPR/First Aid course for their group contact Marujo! You may do different but you will not do better. Thanks again Kirk for teaching the recently modernized approach to first responder actions.

Gentlemen, I don't think I could have said it any better. Kirk did an awesome job keeping us engaged and thoughtfully answering all of our "what if" questions. Kudos to Emily & Jeff as our esteemed hosts, and many thanks for lunch too! It was just plain fun learning new (important) information within a community of great folks. Kirk, I'll launch/land your kite anytime you're in the Delta. Be safe everyone!! Leann

Another big thanks to Kirk for the very generous donation of his time, materials, skills, experience, (and doughnuts!) His On Scene Safety program is exceptional! and highly recommended!
We learned lots of great tips coming from someone whose been a first responder to thousands and thousands of incidents. And the new standards for CPR which make it easier to remember and maybe help someone!
Even if you couldn't make it to this particular class; I strongly encourage everyone (and their friends, families and co-workers) to take a first-aid and a CPR course. Hopefully, we'll never need it, but (IMO) this stuff should be common knowledge.
ps/ It was really great to see everyone! I'm so glad we were in town for this!

Kirk you are an awesome presenter! The class was absolutely entertaining and extremely valuable (are you sure you don't moonlight as a standup comic?) thanks so much for donating your time, and I look forward to returning the favour this kiting season. Let us know when your band plays locally because it would be a blast to see your show. Maybe you can do some stage dives and we can practice doing the dead man roll over technique on you! And thanks so much for letting Liana participate too, she sucessfully used her CPR techniques to wake me up this morning!

Big thanks to Kirk for his time and expertise. A lot of laughs and a lot of good information. Also to Jeff and Emily to generously open they shop up and provide lunch. I was great to put the faces, names and forum handles together. I look forward to seeing more of you all in the spring. Wade
