It's kind of too windy now, scary and unsafe windy, but maybe it'll mellow out a bit later...

I'm heading back to CA from NY later today and when I checked Ikite I thought maybe the site had changed to Km/h instead of Mp/h!

Probably some good kiting in places that normally aren't WINDY ENOUGH to kite ever.

uh. yeah. check the ikitesurf wind reports. coyote pt has been averaging 45 with gusts into the mid 50s. that's mph folks.

i think a 1m trainer should do the trick.

Okay, UFOs on December 27th makes me think...

Flying a red and white, 10-meter kite today? Riding a green FLX 128? Hucking the tules at Sherman Island all alone? Not a reindeer in sight?

(Thanks and a tip of the hat to Indian Bob for the launch.)

A jolly 'ol elf, giggling and scared with a bowl full of jelly. Based on the altitude it must have been none other than...

Old Saint Nick! Santa YOU crazy!

(Check the iK wind archives, it was quite a holiday treat. Not for small people or beginners. Santa-sized conditions you might say.)

We could have used some of that wind down here today - nothing until 2pm, then it ramped up to a whopping 10mph, (out of the east!).
