I'm sitting here watching the OO7 movie Die Another Day and there's this scene where he bails out of his falling rig and launches onto this ocean swell with a make-shift kite and board (think McGuyver) and surfs it while dodging icebergs. He then hits an iceberg (ice-ramp) and launches a huge air and then floats down to a stop - like a parachutest. I had forgot about this scene... man he's cool!!! =D>
I want skills like that!!! :)

Oops! I forgot - the main point of my thread was also to ask if there if any other big-screen movies that depict kiteboarding. Anyone know of any???

I don't know of any movies but I saw a Nissan commercial in spain with kites

Once saw this 'made for TV' movie last year called Spring Break Shark Attack.

They showed bunch of kiteboarders rippin' it up and having fun, playing it up for all the co-eds partying on a floating raft.

Then when the sharks came in for the attack, they had this camera angle on the kiteboarder we've all seen in the mags. Think camera behind the rider, kite low in front of him, he's twisted around dragging his fingers in the water..... Then a shark chomps his arm off and he rides away with a bloody stump of an arm.

It was SUPER CAMPY! And was so unbelievable, it was funny! Slingshot punk!

I doubt anyone watched it because for the most part it was painfully BAD movie.

not sure if porn counts but a movie was made in DR a few years ago called surf f**kers. its about kiting and doing other things on kites, how do i know, i'm in it in the back ground. Don't ask.
