I was the veterinarian for the New York City and San Francisco Mounted police for 30+ years.
First thing I asked when a horse came up lame in San Francisco, was whether they were gallopimg in the surf at Ocean beach.
Looks to me a good way of bowing tendons and other related lamenesses.

I have created a film loop with most of the pictures from this new sport, so as to easily view them.

See it at:
HorseSurfing - LoopL
Enjoy...

As for me, I prefer kiting behind a Rhino, instead of a horse's ass...

Leo! Being the upwind champion of the world and all, would you like a spot on "kiters gone wild?" I will film you for 30 minutes going upwind til the camera cant focus anymore.

What is a Loop...

Post by lmontejo » Fri Jul 21, 2006 4:46 pm

That's Filmloop for you... If you haven't understood how these loops work, here's a quick rundown...

Unlike a site where you store photos, loops allow one to "push" pictures. In other words, and since I created this loop, once you have it in your player, I or anybody else (since the loop is public) can drag and drop pics to the loop in question, and anybody in the entire world who is suscribed to the loop will see them right away. Great for managing projects for instance.

So I believe the software engineers at Filmloop decided this was a small price to pay for the benefits one gains.

The company is touted by Guy Kawasaki (former Apple guru) as an upcoming hit on the web - so don't be too quick to dismiss it.

Their next step is to have this technology become part of the Apple OS (or Windows) so you don't have to download the player.

Finally, check out how we use loops on our gliding website near Lake Tahoe:
Minden Soaring Club
The loop called wave downwinder describes a flight from Lake Tahoe to Colorado on a glider (no engine) and has sound when you click on the first picture...

Hope that explains it!

As for Yuri's talent spot on Kiters Gone Wild- are you quitting your board-building business (Glids) and going into movie-making?

I'm ready to quit medicine if you make me a star!

oh, I'm quite aware of the concept. Yet, the question remains :).

In my opinion, it's the easiest way to post pictures in this forum - that is, create a loop, and place the link here.

Thanks for your understanding!
