KiteGirl Delta Downwinder on July 22nd

This event is held by KiteGirl in conjunction with KiteWindSurf and Kiítopia.

The KiteGirl Delta Downwinder is for all women who ride, upwind or downwind, to have fun and do a downwinder at Sherman Island, near Rio Vista in the Sacramento River Delta.

It also includes a guys' category, Krustyís infamous ìDragQueen Contestî TM for guys in drag to do a downwind bodydrag alongside the girls' downwinder...

The cost to participate in the downwinder is $30.00 and it includes a self-rescue clinic, boat shuttle to Kitopia Island, emergency boat support downwind and a BBQ sponsored by Eclipse and First Flight with awards/prizes the night of the 22nd. BYOG (Bring your own gear)
Swag and prizes sponsored by DaKine, Venus, UltraNectar, Slingshot and more...

Here is the event schedule:


Participant Registration ($30.00 cash) at 10am on July 22nd at Sherman Island Access, at the pavillion.
Self-rescue clinic follows, then we'll shuttle everyone upwind to Kitopia Island for the start of the Downwinder.
After finishing the Downwinder we will have the BBQ and prizes/awards/swag the eve of the 22nd.
The 23rd is a 'swing day', i.e. in case the 22nd is not windy, we'll hold the Downwinder that day.
