A Hobe Sound man was sent sailing across Midtown Beach, slammed into the sea wall, dragged through bushes, thrown against a parked car, blown across South Ocean Boulevard and dumped into some bushes at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday after his kiteboard lines became twisted.
According to the police report, the 46-year-old man received first aid treatment from Palm Beach Fire-Rescue for scrapes and bruises on his arms, legs and head at Royal Palm Way before being transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center.
According to Palm Beach Fire-Rescue, he did not lose consciousness and his injuries appeared to be minor.
The parked car was a rental being used by a Virginia woman. Police said the 2006 Ford Taurus was dented in the mishap, resulting in about $500 damage.
