This idea came to me while listening to one of the bay areas best kiters lament about the (local) kiters being to conservative. When I told him I'd just seen a guy pull a couple 313's at Alameda (of all places) just a few days ago, HIS EYES LIT UP!!!
So lets up the ante', I want to see LOCAL riders pushing there limits this year.

If throwing around a ton of water with your forhead is deemed BEST TRICK by your peers, YOUR WINNERS!!!!!! The only real "rule" I'm going to put forth is showing good sportsmenship, impeeding others proformance earns a DSQ. BLOCKING for example is really not cool! Helping your fellow kiter relaunch after tossing his cookies might just put you in the running.
Just show us what your made of,

Yuri,
Thanks for the offer but I'll shoulder the cost on this one. If youd like to do a matched offer on a future event or just pitch in a few bucks, THAT would be greatly appreciated by the riders I'm sure!!!
This "event" is the Races (let me make that clear!), my thingy is just a little something extra for the riders and spectators and will treated as such...
The race commity will deside WHEN, the riders will set the exact location.
BE AWARE: I have not spoken with any member of the commity so I'm expecting them to have the say as to timing, I'm only trying to inhance the REAL EVENT not compete with it.
The idea is maybe fifteen minutes of FREE-FOR-ALL kiting. My feeling is winner takes all.

Sander,
You might look at the SFYC website for specific race information! Basicly there are a number of races run on any given night, then all the scores are tallied for that nights overall winner.
A 313 is a powered handle pass that starts in one direction and reverses without becoming horizonal. Basicly tail pop to about 1/4 turn- reverse coming around blind while passing the bar completly before touch down, all while standing straight up (well kinda). A KGB would be similure but with an added back roll (fully inverted- best when totally extended, usually proformed with only full leg extention around invert). THe KGB is said to be a little easyer, but I think thats becouse most riders bend at some point, full extention through-out is extremely rare (like a perfect Sou-Cow). As far as I've seen only Lou Wainman take the KGB to NEAR PERFECTION and rightfully so- he invented it! Now its almost mandatory to ride a PKRA event.
As for the clowns, maybe a Class-Clown or two,
L.M.G.

Are there going to be rodeo clowns?
What's a 313? Does it involve a triple lutz?
Seriously, tho sounds like a great event, I'll be there.
And is the race going to be a downwinder drag race, or an all points of sail course Olympic-style race?
