THINKING OF GET-AWAY???

I know Japan is a bit far away, (only 9-hour-flight) but an acquaintance of mine, AKADO-san (AKA Doreman--the only Japanese rep. for Slingshot Kiteboarding) is organizing the Kashiwazaki Wind Battle (Kaze-no-jin) on May 27-28 in Niigata, Japan. Click Kaze-No-Jinand you will see the screen you will see "JAPANESE" (left) and "ENGLISH" (right) It's a word document tells you all the details.

Here is some incentives. :-) I am not planning to go there, but if anyone takes me as your personal tour guide as well as a translator, I might think about it. :P

Yes, I did see Lost in Translation. What is that supposed to mean? :-)

Charlie,
Not too sure about the conditions of this spot, but from an old magazine, it says it varies depends on the wind direction. It looks like they have good waves tho. I've asked that questions, so he may reply soon.

Hi Guys
I'm Seigo who is organizing this event. The event site is very famous for fresh fishes and good Sake you'll enjoy Sushi at there.
Wind is pretty good this time of year.May be you have to use 20.5 Machine and Glide if you are same weight as me 100kg.
Normaly people use 13 to 17 C-kite and small boards.
Event site has very flat water and wave place. One is inside of port and the other side is out side of port. You can walk to both side.
The building which we do Party is just infront of beach and hotel is in the same building.I think it will be convinient to stay at there.
People are friendly espetialy once you drink Sake together.
Here is article which wrote about Japan trvel of Mark Doyle.
http://www.sskiteboarding.com/2005/news ... ore_22.htm
This event site is very close to the place where Mark got in trouble.
Anyway please come to competition and make your own story. :supz:
