take some time to check out the water condution, and what the locals are up too. this system has a chance to be a bad boy, and you should work your way up to it, not jump right in the middle of it ...
also i would highly recamend a bow,or total depower kite(type wave or other)

Charlie,
Let me know how the Type Wave handles those 50 mph gusts. I hope I don't see any of you guys out the window of my flight... at the same altitude as my plane!

thanks for the concern charlie, but this won't be my first storm front....I'll be keeping an eye on the offshore buoys at the crack of dawn.....as far as bow kites are concerned, my existing quiver of '05 diesels suited me fine at OB and 3rd all last season.....these new bow kites are still a lot of hype and prototypes...give em a few years to work out the kinks, I'm still not sold on them....I'll take Zeev's stance under his posting on "is the world flat"....

I don't think the winds will be super stong at first tomorrow.. .The current Oakland Forecast is calling for 10kts from the SE at 10AM... increasing to 15kts from the SE at 2PM.... Then much more wind on Monday... Seems to me monday is going to be the high wind day...

As for the Bows... just be sure to try one before writing them off... People said bad things about 4 lines, and the chicken loop. For being a newer style of kite, they are remarkable good fliers.

Sorry Andy....
