Dig out your old bar!!! 2003 18m Fuel

I recently became the owner of a 2003 18m Fuel. The bar is shot on it and was wondering if anyone had an old slingshot bar (minimum of 26") that would work for this application. the guy who gave it to me definitely gets unusual bar setup for the week award. From what I can tell he twisted tool hangers (the type that screw into a wall) in order to wrap his lines. Considering this is a 30" bar, I cant imagine what it would be like to poke your eye out with this thing. The rubber that holds the control lines has a rip in it also.
If anyone has an old bar hanging around or any ideas on how to rig it...post it.
