A friend mentioned this today, was wondering if anyone else has heard of this?
If I remember correctly, the burning sensation you get when your muscles get tired is from a build up of lactic(?) acid. My friend said that by taking antacids, it would (I forget if he said make it go away, or take longer for the burning to occur, or something).

I'm an avid cyclist, and I highly recommend Endurox R4 as your first drink once you come off the water. It's really an excellent "recovery drink", and I think it dramatically reduces cramping and soreness after a hard ride, in addition to helping me "bounce back" quite quickly. There are other sports drinks designed to slow lactic acid buildup *during* exercise (I drink Cytomax when riding), but the Endurox R4 seems to have a greatest impact for what your're discussing.

I am not affiliated with this company at all. I am merely a customer.
One more thing: *DO NOT* try the "citrus" flavor!!! It is the most horrible thing imaginable (not to mention the lovely honeydew-green color). I recommend the Vanilla. Yum.

From what I've seen, the most common drink after leaving the water is beer.Kawika wrote:I'm an avid cyclist, and I highly recommend Endurox R4 as your first drink once you come off the water.
