I'm not good enough to do anything interesting. But I'm a pretty experienced wakeboarder. Right now I have a Large North Jaime Pro (kinda short but hella wide) board. Riding it with sandal bindings feels more like wakeskating than anything else I can compare it to. I feel like if I were to go to wake style sooner than later I would be able to progress much faster. I have a wakeboard with very nice, easy-to-get-in-and-out-of bindings and I have my wake board. Is their any reason why my wake bindings would be incompatable with my kiteboard? I figure the wake board is just too heavy.

You can do it. A lot of people ride like this. The only problem is that kiteboarding is not exactly like wakeboarding. You can go wakestyle with kite bindings just fine. The reason is that you need to be able to change the positions of your feet more while kting then when being pulled behind a boat on a wakeboard. You will also learn a lot faster on a kite specific board. Alos wind is not like your buddy in the boat that can speed up and slow down when you want to. You also can't just let go of the bar and wait for the boat to come around. Hence you need to be able to get in and out of your bindings quickly. This is coming from someone that started with wakeboard bindings and learned the hard way. Now I can do anything that I could with wake bindings and more on strap bindings. One being board of tricks. It is a bit hard to do with boot bindings on. Either way works but you will have more fun starting out with strap bindings. Just my opinion!
