I had a major surprise today working on my ION B2 harness (2016),
I was cleaning my harness knife removing few bits of rust as every beginning of season,
when came to me the idea of testing it on a old kite line I had trying to slice it.
I made 3x different attempts and it took me more than 2~3 minutes each time to cut
this old North kite line in full tension. It was very intense
Such an unpleasant surprise !

I tested again with a Gerber Strap Cutter I had in my car, and it cut the line
with a single swipe (0.5sec).

Know your harness, its knife position, keep it clean, and
Lesson learned: TEST YOUR HARNESS KNIFE ON THE REAL STUFF...
and replace it by a new one if it takes your more than a couple of seconds to cut a line.

Just in cases this might save someone.
Cheers,
Greg
Note: in some case you can also just replace the blades or sharpen them.
