Sliding Harness - Attachment with Carabiner?

I am looking to use a sliding harness but would like to be able to switch kite with friends, launch with a tether, etc. I was using a Ronstan snap shackle but it released 2X on my Third session with it.
Does the pictured setup look dangerous in any way? I am thinking a locking carabiner will work well as an attachment.

Your carbine setup looks dangerous to me.
How about a well engineered Dakine slider hook.

Curious why the carabiner would be unsafe but I will look into the dakine hook - thank you for sending that

things I would keep in mind:
1) if the carabiner ever rotated, so that the pull is perpendicular as it is in the picture, the rating is ~ 1/4 the load.
2) Sand or mud could jam the lock of the carabiner so it may no longer open (but in your picture you still have a quick release chicken loop that you will be able to open). I would check it before and after ever session and give it a good rinse.
3) the slider in the picture looks like it should be retired. Make a slider that is spliced so that one end of the line is buried throughout the rope so it is double layered, this dramatically extends the life of the line.
