Ideal line length at Sherman Island question

So I ride a stapless directional at Sherman and I just got some new 2017 Pivots (7,9,12) that came with a bar that has 24m lines. I have been using a bar with 22m lines since I started learning about 2 years ago. Should I stick with the 24m lines and get used to them or cut them down to 22m. I used the kite for the first time yesterday and if felt different but not in a bad way and it was gusty and had some south to it and it is a different brand kite. So what's the preferred line length at Sherman? Thanks for your input.
Pete

I replied to you on SIKO FB --

short and long of it (pardon the pun)

DON'T CUT YOUR LINES

you just got a new quiver of kites, sounds like you just need more time getting used to them.

Generally speaking..
7m = 22m lines
9m = 22m or 24m depending on the wind and whether you need the extra power
12m = 24m lines

Wouldn't recommend cutting your lines. Especially for use with the 12m.

I switched from North Rebels to a Pivot quiver of the same size (7m & 9m) and found them to not have quite as much low end (or bar pressure). I ran them with 22m and 24m lines and definitely prefer the longer lines, and they seem to drift a little better when in swell on my directional (both sizes).

Idk I didn't feel like difference between 24m and 22m lines was really that much different except in low wind situations where the extra time having the kite in the power zone helped. Now the difference between 20m and 24m is definitely different.

Yup, as stated, don't cut the lines. If you want more bar pressure change the back line attachments to the kite to the middle setting. The stock settings are the least bar pressure and made flying the kite difficult for me as I could not feel where it was.
