Shelved my surfboard DIY for now, instead, went on a different direction.

I made my own miniFoil that will fit into my standard luggage. Goal is to kite hydrofoil on average wind conditions and on low to zero winds, go boogie boarding with a 15" mast attached. Just need to test it the next time we get some wind around here. Looking for an ideal small board that I can take on my annual surf trips in Siargao. Board dimensions:
L-26" x W-19" x H-3"

Just waiting for some wind to try this new toy out.

I still suck at riding hydrofoils, but I successfully managed to have a short session in Alameda last night. I initially set the foil up with a 15" short mast because I will be riding in shallow water in one of my travels.

With the LF wing, I was able to get it going in light wind. Because the board is floaty, it was easy to get up, but I still lack skills to make minor adjustments on my stance because I tend to breach with this short mast setup.

I will switch to longer masts on the next winter wind storm.
