Do you know someone who lost kite & bar at sea recently?

Hello,

Someone had to release his/her kite a few weeks ago somewhere along the coast (Waddell? Scotts?) and they were found on June 5th tangled in kelp off Santa Cruz. The kite was totally ripped and the lines tangled around the bar but cutting all the kelp/lines we were able to rescue the bar, that still looks useable. Searching for its owner! I've talked to several people at Waddell, no luck so far, so posting here in case someone knows anything. Otherwise I guess I'll just keep it.

Kite was a 12m Caution spitfire, bar is Caution too but custom setting for someone who rides unhooked (?) with chicken loop & trim line replaced by cord.
