Oh boy. It's gonna be one of those days...
Already at third and it's freaking windy!
Please everyone be safe. If you only have a 12m don't even bother coming to third.
And be careful, low tide around 2pm so lots of mud walk to do to get to the water while you getting blasted...
Have fun and be safe!

Not everybody weighs 150 lbs you know. Based on the forecast and the current wind reading at 1pm, my 12m is probably the perfect kite today at 3rd. For me. Your kite selection might be different. (But I know what you're trying to say, and I'll have my 9m with me too just in case).

If you only have a 12m, you should almost certainly get another kite!!!

I know... I'm close to 200.
My point was, being actually at the beach at 11am, that we were already waaaaaay above forecast.
My post was more as an "on site report" that by 4pm (when usually everyone gets here) we might be close to 25mph (which, at 200lbs, I wouldn't pump a 12).
Anyway, this was just a warning for people heading there. Hope you all get some.
I DID have a lot of fun on my 12m for 2 hours, from 11:30 to 1:30.
By the time I got out, I would have gladly switched it to a 10. But I had to go back to work.
Cheers everyone!
As stated earlier: have fun but be safe!

The huge amount of beginners that we see at third in the spring obviously don't know that.

Was alone in the water until 1pm. Then 2 other people launched. By the time I got out of the water, people were starting to get in.

I am going to book my ticket back to the states soon. How are the conditions at Alameda these days? Can't wait to get back.
